Welcome back and first of all a very big thank you to all of our supporters, sponsors and crew for making 2021 one of our best ever festivals despite the thunder and lightning on the Sunday afternoon and all that the pandemic could throw at us. I am delighted to say that our festival has even received nomination in the UK Blues Federation 2022 Awards as best blues festival for last year !!
I’m also very delighted to say that we have another brilliant line up for the weekend Friday 29 to Sunday 31 July 2022 which includes many other well deserved nominees for this year’s UK Blues Federation Awards.
Ticket prices have increased slightly from last year partly as a result of potential reduced capacities and partly to maintain the high standard of acts that you have come to expect. Please do bear in mind that we absorb all booking fees and that all tickets will be fully refunded should there be any extreme COVID-19 or similar issues that make it impossible for the festival to go ahead.
Our headline acts are Elles Bailey, Aynsley Lister and Alice Armstrong, with support from the following all of whom could justify a headline spot; The Cinelli Brothers, David Migden & The Twisted Roots, Hollie Rogers and Georgia Van Etten, Jon Gomm and Dom Martin. Please remember that our weekender tickets guarantee entry to all festival events including Sunday evening. The only certain way of guaranteeing entry to the Sunday evening is to buy a weekender ticket. Individual tickets for the Sunday evening ( if any ) will only be made available a week before the event as Sponsors and holders of weekender tickets take priority.
The festival format will be exactly as in recent years with Friday and Saturday evenings 7.30 to 11.15 approx. set out cabaret style in the Weald Hall of Uckfield Civic Centre. On Sunday the action moves to The Highlands Inn with a free afternoon session outside in the grounds of the pub. On Sunday evening the restaurant is given over to the festival and entry is by ticket only. Please note that if you want to be certain of attending the Sunday evening you will need to buy a weekender ticket ( see above ).
Sunday afternoon sees a feast of talent featuring Brave Rival, Miller Anderson with Bob Brookes and Jeremy Sherman, Saiichi Sugiyama, Big Blue and Stormy-T and Bluesman’s Lane.
As always, we are indebted to our sponsors for their continued support and also The Civic Centre and The Highlands Inn for hosting our events. A special thank you to Focus All Media who in addition to designing and running our website will be sponsoring the buffet and drinks reception for sponsors and their guests
